Viorela was born in Romania and holds a BA in law from Petru Maior University (Targu Mures) and a Master in Public International law from Leiden University (The Netherlands). She has participated in international moot court competitions such as “Telders International Law Moot Court Competition” (The Hague) and “Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition” (Washington DC). During her time at university, Viorela also participated in several international conferences and summer schools on international law and human rights. She is currently undertaking a traineeship within the European Anti-Fraud Office at the European Commission. Since October 2013, she has been a junior lawyer, after successfully passing the Romanian Bar Exam. She is fluent in Romanian, English and French. Viorela’s main areas of interest focus on public international law and EU studies.
